So Proud and Ready for Spring!

Last year, when I took this picture, I was so proud of it. I guess in some ways, it's not a BAD picture. The bokeh is good. But, I can't wait to have another shot at flowers this year! It's almost that time!

Little, little

I apologize in advance if you read my photobug OD account as well. I'm reusing some pictures because I think they're exciting.

In Virginia, there are supposedly only two kinds of venomous snakes. The first is the copperhead. He's, as you would expect, copper colored. The second is a black, water snake, called the cottonmouth water moccasin. Both can be deadly.

THIS, however, is not a scary snake. This little guy was hiding out in the back yard the other day, sunning himself on some old cement pipes. I tried to catch him but failed. Maybe another day!

Love at the Beach

These two lovebirds were watching the water, fishermen, children playing or perhaps just each other.

Festival for All Ages

Happy First Day of Summer!

I am relatively young and obviously love this festival. However, it's not just a festival for a 20s crowd. It's also a festival for the 10s crowd, the 70s crowd, toddlers, and everyone in between!

A Little Spirit!

Of course, I'm not the only one who goes crazy for this festival. This little guy is probably Daffodil Festival Dog Show Hopeful.

Daffies for Sale!

$2.00 per bunch or 3 bunches for $5.00. Fields of daffodils become probably hundreds of dollars at the festival. There are all kinds of daffodils. They come in all kind of colors. But the rule is they have 6 petals (or in some cases a multiple of 6) and have a trumpet or multiple intertwined trumpets. This truck was FULL of daffodils and I think they managed to sell nearly every one!

You must set up

Set up is actually just about my favorite part of the festival. Everyone is sleepy but excited. Food vendors carry around cinnamon rolls, coffee. Flowers for sale (maybe tomorrow's picture!) are purchased and "booths" are decorated. Everyone lends a hand.
